Cameron Village neighborhood and Cameron Village Shopping Center developed coincidently during the late 1940's and early 1950's.

Cameron Village neighborhood is a festival of ranch style homes - most of them built in the early 1950's.  Cameron Village Condos, from the same time period, border the neighborhood along Daniels, Smallwood, Sutton, Nichols and St.Mary's roads.

This well kept, attractive neighborhood enjoys the advantages of an easy walk to a host of amenities provided by Cameron Village Shopping Center, NC State University, Fred Fletcher Park and Glenwood South.

Of special interest to this and other near by neighborhoods is the density and design of a proposed mixed-use development on the site surrounding the Occidental Building.
